A Farm Girl's Story

Posted

Nancy Nodland Ellison was born in 1945 near Belle Creek. She has written a book detailing her life growing up in this area, with references to places she has travelled to, and names of friends and relatives who also lived in this area. The title is Belle Creek and Beyond..... A Farm Girl's Story.

Known to most as the Sheep and Wool Lady, she raises sheep and spins the wool into yarn, and weaves and does yarn needle felting. In her book, she tells of life on the farm, and adds a bit of history to her tales.

You can find her book at the Greensted in Zumbrota, the Goodhue Cafe and Gift Shop, Red Wing Arts, and see more of her work at Ellison Ewenique Felt on Etsy.

She has new, used, and antique spinning wheels and looms available for sale in her country home outside of Wanamingo.

You can reach her for spinning, weaving, felting, yarn, supplies, classes and lessons at (507) 732-5281.
