I want to start off with a very Merry Christmas to everyone.
There have been challenges this year, with our changing economy, with the increased cost of everything we at the county are working to keep the service that our citizens want and struggle to control the costs to our taxpayers. We did settle on a 3.49% levy over the 2024 budget. I know that some homes did see a reduction in their taxes for next year, this is due to increased values and added property.
I want to thank you all for voting for me this last November, even though I was the only one on the ballot. There will be challenges going into the next 2 years with our State legislatures so please be patient with all of us and please let us know if you have any questions, or concerns or if you feel you have a solution to a situation. Remember we are all in this together so keep informed, and do your own research. Sorry media, sometimes it is hard to believe what we are told.
