Fun Holiday Things to do this December

At the Randolph Historical Society Museum there will be a Christmas Cookie decorating event and cookie cutter display. This takes place Saturday December 6 th from 11am to 3pm. Joyce Moorhouse is a long time cookie cutter collector, who has been featured on television shows and magazine articles. After inheriting her grandmother’s cookie cutters in 1954, she became serious about collecting. Today she has over 40,000 different cookie cutters and many will be on display at this event. You can see the display of Christmas cookie cutters, decorate Christmas cookies and sign up to win a cookbook by Joyce. Kids will also get a free cookie cutter.

Christmas in West Concord will be held Saturday December 6th. There are fresh homemade doughnuts at the American Legion from 7 to 11am. The Fire Department will be collecting “Toys for Tots” all day. Breakfast is served at the Wescon Lanes from 8 to 10:30am. The Christmas Llama’s will be greeting people from 9am to noon. A silent auction will be held from 9am to 2pm with proceeds going to the Cardinal Club. There will be Bloody Mary’s at the West Concord Muni and cookies and crafts with the cows at the Dairy Barn at the east end of Main Street.

A Christmas Marketplace will be held at the West Concord Historical Society. Lunch in the special ambiance of the Flame Room. Lots of vendors in the gym with live music, The Concord Quartet singing at 10:45. This might be one of the longest standing craft shows around at 31 years! The festively decorated Museum will also be open for touring during the Marketplace.

Free bowling and lunch specials at Wescon Lanes from 11am to 2pm. A Christmas program will be held at the Bell Tower Center with a free Christmas supper from 5:30 to 7pm. There is live music by Andy Tackett from 7 to 11pm at the West Concord Muni.

On Saturday December 13th the Triton Community Ed’s Annual Holiday Craft and Vendor Market will be held at the Triton Public School from 10am to 1pm. Many vendors selling homemade crafts, Holiday treats and much more. The Dodge Center Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring free sleigh rides and free pictures with Santa.
