Goodhue County Dairy Royalty Crowned

The 2023 Goodhue County Dairy Princess banquet was held on Saturday, April 1st at the Goodhue Lions Community Center in Goodhue. After a catered meal, the candidates each gave a short speech on dairy topics including the nutritional value of dairy products in a healthy diet. Earlier in the day the candidates went through formal interviews with judges and learned about topics related to successfully promoting the dairy industry. The young women will now have the opportunity to attend the Midwest Dairy Association's May Dairy Promotion and Leadership Event with a chance to run for the title of Minnesota's Princess Kay of the Milky Way.

The 2023 Goodhue County Dairy Royalty crowned were as follows:

Natalie Clementson, daughter or Brian and Tiffany Clemenson of Zumbrota

Emma Eggenberger, daughter of Erica Cordes and Robert Eggenberger of Red Wing

Kelsey Holst, daughter of Shane and Casey Holst of Zumbrota

Caryn Miklas, daughter of Amy Bearbower and Mike Chamberlain of Zumbrota

Evelyn Scheffler, daughter of Tony and Maizie Scheffler of Zumbrota

Locally, the Dairy Royalty will be good-will ambassadors for Goodhue County dairy farmers and the dairy industry throughout the upcoming year. They will be participating in dairy promotions, parades, educational school visits, the Goodhue County Fair, and other dairy related events to promote the dairy industry, its products, and producers.
