Kenyon Municipal Liquor Store Expands

The Kenyon Muni has remodeled and expanded into the former NAPA store location and officially opened last Friday April 3rd. The project began last November and included rebuilding the front entrance to the off sale by relocating the front entry door and installing a new concrete ramp, which is handicap accessible. A door was also installed between the bar area and the new off sale room.

The old cooler is now a beer cave stocked with 12 packs and cases of your favorite beverages. The new cooler that was added is filled with singles. The 1,800 square foot addition allows for more display area and a larger selection of product. Most notably the wine selection has increased. Manager Matt Bartel, states that the separate entrance to the off-sale facility makes shopping much more inviting for customers, as they will not have to walk through the bar to get to the off-sale inventory.

The new location will also create more seating in the bar for customers and extra room for hosting larger events. They currently schedule live music, parties and game days at the bar.

Future plans will be increased product variety and inventory and wine and beer sampling events beginning by fall. Come by and check out the new remodeling at 645 Second Street in Kenyon.
