May is Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This month University of Minnesota Extension recognizes the importance of supporting mental health and wellbeing for all of us. Extension offers public education about mental wellness and resources for families and communities through programs held locally, resources housed online and by sharing through community partners.

We can all play a role in raising awareness about the importance of mental health — whether you're a parent supporting your child's mental health, a community member concerned about your neighbor, or a professional working with families. We can all also practice taking good care of ourselves!

Looking for resources for compassion fatigue, talking to young people about suicide or taking care of yourself under stress? All of these and much more can be found on the Extension website. Scan the QR code to learn more!

Together, we can reduce the stigma and help each other learn about Mental Wellbeing and Mental Health.
