Richard A. Hanson, age 95, of Kenyon, died Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Mill City Senior Living, Faribault.

Memorial services will be held at the Nerstrand United Methodist Church on February 10, 2026, at 2 p.m. The Reverend Gary Liker will officiate. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault, on February 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault.

Richard August, the son of Robert Leonard and Myrtle Ann (Leider) Hanson was born at the family home on April 23, 1930. He graduated from Kenyon High School in 1949. On September 5, 1953, Richard was united in marriage to Bonnie Belle Weber. Richard farmed with his father and later his brother, Gary, in Wheeling Township before continuing with his son, Craig, in Holden Township. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, tending to his yard, and spending winters in Florida with his wife. To many, Richard was known as Mr. Fix It, as his nephew, David, would say, “Richard Can Fix It!”

Survivors include his three children, Debbie (and Mike) Kerr, Vickie (and Mark R.) Schweisthal and Craig (and Jacki) Hanson; grandchildren, Peter Kerr, Krysie Kerr, Jon (and Heather) Kerr, Kori (and Ashley) Schweisthal, Kaela Schweisthal, Tony (and Laura) Hanson, and Jason Hanson; seven great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Barbara Hanson and Joan Weber; other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myrtle; wife, Bonnie; siblings, Gary (and Merilyn) Hanson, Rita (and Elmer) Covert, Paul L. Hanson and Judy (and Lowell) Broin; and nephews, David Hanson and Greg Covert.
